RED LOBSTER BISCUITS

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp parsley flakes
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped dill
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450°F. In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt and parsley flakes.

Blend in butter or shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk and cheese until just blended. Drop by heaping spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake at 450°F for 12-15 minutes, or until golden.

After removal from oven brush with a mixture of 1/2 cup melted butter and 1 teaspoon garlic powder (adjust garlic to taste). If a softer biscuit is wanted, drop dough into a 9x13 pan lined with wax paper.
