Ingredients

  • 1 lg jar picante sauce (hot)
  • 2 cans 16oz black eyed peas, drained
  • 1 can 16oz white hominy, drained
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced white onion
  • 1 cup diced tomato
  • ½ cup diced fresh cilantro
  • ¼ cup diced, seeded, jalapeno
  • 2 chopped, seeded habanera pepper
  • 1 cup chopped green onion
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 1 Tbs salt
  • 1 Tbl coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 Tbl ground comino
  • 1 Tsp garlic powder
  • Add jalapeno sauce or Tabasco sauce to taste OPTIONAL

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together well
Marinate in the refrigerator for 24 hours
Serve with tortilla chips
