Egg Nog Cookies

Place the center section of a paper doily on cookie and sprinkle with ground nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients together; gradually add to creamed mixture. Cover and refrigerate several hours.

Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 375 F oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheets.
