Graham Cracker Cake

Ingredients

  • 6 egg yolks beaten until light colored
  • 1 cup ground walnuts
  • ½ lb. sweet butter
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 6 eggwhites beaten stiff
  • 1 lb. or 50 graham crackers ground

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggyolks and mix well. Add crackers and baking powder alternately with milk. Mix in vanilla and nuts. Gently fold in eggwhites. Bake in greased pan, lightly sprinkled with flour, in a 350°F oven. 3- 8” pans for about 30 minutes.

*Use a cream cheese frosting with a little bit of strong coffee mixed in.
