The Pioneer Women's Texas Cake

Ingredients

• Frosting:
• 2 Cups Flour
• 2 Cups Sugar
• 1/4 tsp. Salt
• ___________________
• 2 Eggs
• 1/2 Cup Buttermilk
• 1 tsp. Soda
• 1 tsp. Vanilla
• ___________________
• 2 Sticks Butter
• 4 Heaping Tbs. Cocoa
• 1 Cup Boiling Water
• ___________________
• 1 3/4 Cup Butter
• 4 Heaping Tbs. Cocoa
• Vanilla
• 16 oz. Powered Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Mix dry ingredients together
Add the egg/buttermilk mixture
Add the Boiling water mixture

Bake 20 minutes @ 400 degrees

When cake is done and hot, frost immediately
