Ingredients
- 1# COOKED MACARONI
- 2# GROUND LEAN BEEF
- 6 T BUTTER
- 1 C CHOPPED ONION
- 1 T SALT
- 1/2 TSP PEPPER
- 1/2 TSP GROUND CINNAMON
- 4 T TOMATO PASTE
- 2 EGGS
- 1/2 C GRATED ROMANO OR PARMEASAN CHEESE

Step 1
MELT BUTTER IN A SKILLET AND SAUTEE THE ONIONS FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES. ADD THE GROUND MEAT, STIRRING WELL TO BROWN A LITTLE. COVER AND COOK FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES. ADD SALT & PEPPER, CINNAMON & TOMATO PASTE AND CONTINUE TO COOK FOR ANOTHER 10 MINUTES, STIRRING TO KEEP FROM STICKING. COMBINE THIS MIXTURE WITH THE COOKED MACARONI.
ADD THE GRATED CHEESE AND THE 2 UNBEATEN EGGS, BLEND WELL, USING HANDS TO MIX AND POUR INTO LIGHTLY GREASED 9X12 BAKING DISH ABOUT 4 INCHES DEEP. COVER ENENLY WITH THE SEPARATE PASTITSIO CREAM SAUCE.
