Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

Ingredients

• Sift together: Combine:
• 2 cups flour 1 cup mayonnaise
• 4 tbsp. cocoa 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 tsp. soda Mix with first mixture

Preparation

Step 1

Add 1 cup cold water and mix until smooth. Bake in 8 x 10 pan for 30 – 35 minutes in moderate oven.

Caramel Icing:
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
1 tsp. butter
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients. Beat until smooth. Spread between layers and on top of cake.
