Crockpot Flank Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb flank steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sweet red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add flank steak and sear until browned on both sides.

2. Place sliced onion in the bottom of the Crockpot. Lay steak on top of the onions. Whisk together the remaining ingredients. Pour over the flank steak. Cook on for 8 hours on low and 3-4 hours on high.

3. Use this tender steak in any recipe calling for beefsteak as one of the components.
