Coconut Cake

Ingredients

• 2 sticks butter
• 3 cups plain flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 tsp. baking powder
• 1 cup milk
• 2 eggs
• 6 egg yolks
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix and bake in layers.

Icing:
2 cups sugar
½ cup white Karo syrup
½ cup water
6 egg whites

Mix and cook until it will string a thread. Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour syrup into egg whites. Beat until marshmallows.
