Ingredients
- 3 qts water
- 1 qt vinegar
- 1 cup canning salt
- alum
- red hot peppers
- garlic
- grape leafs
- dill
- cucumbers
Preparation
Step 1
Boil water, vinegar and salt.
Pack cucumbers in jar. Add 1/2 tsp alum, 1 red hot pepper (more if you want spicier), 1 clove garlic, grape leaf and fresh dill.
Pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers. Leave room at the top for it to expand. Seal jars tightly.
Usually needs to sit for at least 2 weeks.
