- 1 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- chopped walnuts
- strawberry or apricot jelly
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in
vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix well. Shape rounded
tablespoonfuls of dough into balls; roll in walnuts.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for
6 minutes. With melon baller, indent center, return
to oven and finish baking for 6 more minutes. Fill
with jam when cool.
