Ingredients

  • 1 envelope dry yeast

  • 2 cup warm water

  • 4 cups self-rising flour

  • 3/4 cup melted butter

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine yeast and 2 cups warm water--let stand 5 minutes. Stir in flour and remaining ingredients until blended. Spoon batter into 2 greased 12-cup muffin pans. Bake 13 minutes or until golden brown.
