Milk Pastry

Ingredients

  • 560 grams flour
  • 200 grams butter, chilled
  • 225 grams shortening, chilled
  • 5 ml salt
  • 220 ml cold milk

Preparation

Step 1

Rub butter and shortening together until reduced to irregular pea sized crumbs.

Dissolve the salt in cold milk. Add the milk to flour and fat mixture, mixing only until incorporated. Do not over mix.

Transfer dough to a floured table, shape dough into a thick roll, cover and reast a few minutes before rolling.
