Ingredients

  • 2 T butter
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 6 T mayonnaise
  • 2 T parsley
  • 2 T Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 1 T spicy mustard
  • 1 1/2 t Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 Pd lump crabmeat
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter. Add pepper and onion. Cook unilt tender, about 5 minutes. Let cool

Mix together bread crumbs, mayonnaise, parsley, worcestershire, lemon juice, mustard, crab seasoning, and green pepper mixture. Gently fold crabmeat into bread crumb mixture.

Using 1/2 c afor each, shape crab mixture into cabes. Place cakes on cookie sheet, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 1 hour

Heat oil. Add crab cakes and fry until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.. Drain on paper towel lined plate.
