Ingredients

  • Joannes’s Frittata
  • You may substitute ingredients based on what’s in the fridge
  • Cubed bread - can be ciabatta or specialty breads like olive or cheese or something that fits your theme of the other ingredients.
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • ½ cup onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • And any other ingredients from the fridge such as
  • artichoke hearts, cooked chopped spicy sausage (or any other type) or diced bacon, green onions, diced fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, diced chilis, cilantro, jalapeno jack cheese, chili powder
  • You get the idea….
  • Garnish with avocado slices or whatever fits theme.

Step 1

You may substitute ingredients based on what’s in the fridge

Butter a casserole dish
Add cubed bread to cover bottom – can be ciabatta or specialty breads like olive
or cheese or something that fits your theme of the other ingredients.
In a bowl beat to just blend:
4 large eggs
1 cup of milk

Add:
1 cup shredded cheese
½ cup onion
Salt and pepper to taste
And any other ingredients from the fridge such as
artichoke hearts, cooked chopped spicy sausage (or any other type) or diced bacon, green onions, diced fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, diced chilis, cilantro, jalapeno jack cheese, chili powder
You get the idea….
Pour evenly over bread. You may refrigerate over night.
Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until center barely jiggles and top is lightly browned.
Garnish with avocado slices or whatever fits your theme.
