Ingredients
- 12 ounces Portuguese sausage, chopped and sauted until lightly browned
- 1 package (14-15 ounces) cubed seasoned stuffing mix
- 1 (14-14 1/2 ounce) chicken broth
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Place sausage and stuffing mix in 13x9 inch glass baking dish
In 3 quart saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and 1 1/3 cup water; heat to boiling over high heat until margarine melts. Pour over stuffing mix; toss to coat.
Bake stuffing, uncovered, 30 to 40 minutes or until heated through and top is browned.
