Ingredients

  • Crab Boil (2 tsp. per quart of water. I use 1 bag of any type of shrimp and crab boil.
  • 12 small new potatoes
  • Six (6) 4-inch pieces of smoked link sausage (I use andouille)
  • 6 ears of fresh sweet corn
  • 3 pounds fresh shrimp (26 to 30 count per pound), unpeeled.

Step 1

Fill a large pot with enough water to cover all ingredients. Add crab boil and heat until boiling (we use an electric turkey cooker). Adjust crab boil to suit your taste. When boiling, add potatoes and sausage. Cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. Add corn and cook fo ran additional 10 minutes. Add shrimp and cook for no more than 3 minutes (do not overcook). I place newspaper in the center of the table and dump the drained boil on the newspaper and add butter. I also have salt/pepper/ and cocktail sause available. Drain and serve with piping hot bread and ice-cold beer.
