  • FOR FROSTING:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vnailla
  • 4 to 5 cups powdered sugar
  • Food coloring (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. grease a half jelly roll pan or another 13x18x1 inch rimmed pan. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Stir in vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salf, and baking soda. Add to wet mixture and mix just until combined. Spread on baking sheets. The dough will be just like cookie dough heavy and sticky so it helps to spray your hands with a little nonstick spray and then mold the dough into the pan.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, unti light golden brown or until a toothpick comes out clean. cool completely before frosting. Cut into bars and serve.

FOR FROSTING:

Combine all ingredinets until well blended. Add more or less powdered sugar, according to desired consistency.
