Korean Bean Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 5 1/2 cups bean sprouts, washed
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp.dark sesame oil
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 thickly grated carrot
  • 2 thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds

Preparation

Step 1

Blanche sprouts in boiling water for 3 mins., then drain and rinse under cold running water. Drain well. Pat dry with paper towel. Stir soy sauce, oil, garlic and pepper in a large bowl. Stir in sprouts, carrot, onions and sesame seeds until evenly mixed. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.

Option:

Also blanche carrots, and serve meal warm.
