Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3 teaspoon hot lard
- 3 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 1/2 cups flour
Preparation
Step 1
Mix all ingredients together to form a soft dough.
Roll out and cut with doughnut cutter.
Cook in hot lard until golden brown, drain on brown paper bags or paper towels.
