Shatto French Toast Souffle

Ingredients

  • 1-8oz. package cream cheese
  • 1 dozen eggs
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 c half and half
  • one loafe cubed, dry bread
  • 1/2 maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 t vanilla
  • cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Butter two 9x13 dish. Microwave cream cheese, butter, syrup to soft but not hot...about 30 seconds. Set aside. Fill both pans 2/3 full of bread. Mix eggs, half and half and vanilla. Spoon cheese mix over bread. Pour eggs on top. Dust with cinnamon. Cover and refridgerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees x 40 minutes until puffy and solidified.
