Ingredients
- 1 kg pork, chopped in 1" chunks
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- water
- 2 tbsp oil
- Sauce: 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ cup hot water
Preparation
Step 1
Boil pork pieces in salted water for 15 minutes. Beat egg and sugar in a bowl. Add flour, cornstarch and water. Enough water to form a smooth paste. Stir until smooth. Dip pork pieces into mixture, cover well. In a frying pan, fry pork in oil over medium heat, until brown. Cover pan while pork is frying. Take pork out of pan. In frying pan, mix ketchup, sugar, vinegar and cornstarch. Gradually pour in hot water. Cook until it becomes a thick sauce, stirring constantly. Place pork in pan with sauce and cook 10-15 minutes.
