Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • Cinnamon sugar for garnish
  • Optional: 1 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Gradually add sugar into the well beaten eggs.

Stir in butter or margarine; mix well. Add 1 tsp vanilla.

Mix the flour, baking, powder, salt together. Add to egg mixture, alternating with 1 cup milk. Beat well after each addition. Stir in 1 cup raisins. Drop by teaspoons onto a greased baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
