Ingredients
- Pastry:
- 1 lb. shortening
- 1 cup boiling water
- 5 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- Pour water over shortening. Mix it with wire wisk. Set at room temperature overnight. Then mix in remaining ingredients.
- Filling:
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp. corn syrup
- 1 small tbsp butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pkg. raisins
- Combine all ingredients. Beat until light and fluffy. Place a few raisins in the bottom of each tart shell, then pour filler over raisins. Bake at 425 degrees 12 - 15 minutes.
