Ingredients

  • Frozen puff pastry sheet
  • Gueryre Cheese
  • Asparagus spears or sliced crimini or portobello mushrooms
  • Olive Oil
  • Cracked Pepper

Cooking time 45mins

Step 1

Thaw puff pastry sheet according to directions
Cut sheet to fit in 9’ casserole or small baking sheet
Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes
Take out of oven and using a fork or a spatula, mash down so that it is nearly flat again
Sprinkle with Gueryre cheese
Brush thin asparagus spears with olive oil and lay next to each other across pastry
Add cracked pepper to taste
Put back in oven for about 20 - 30 minutes or till pastry is brown and cheese is bubbling

May also be made with sliced crimini or Portobello mushrooms
