Thai Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces boneless sirloin
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 1/2 inch ginger root, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 t ground anise
  • 1 t star anise
  • cinnamon stick
  • 1 t whole cloves
  • 1 1/2 t fennel seeds
  • 1 t chili sauce
  • 6 green onions, sliced diagonally
  • 1 red bell pepper, in strips
  • 1/2 t cornstarch
  • 8 crisp lettuce leaves

Preparation

Step 1

1) Cut steak in thin slivers and place in bowl. Add soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and spices and marinade 1 hour.

2) Saute onion and pepper. Add beef mixture and fry.

3) Combine cornstarch with 1 t water and add. Cook 1 min.

4) Wrap in lettuce leaves.
