Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 2 cups crushed saltines (about 30 crackers)
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 1/2 lbs ground beef
Preparation
Step 1
1. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, cracker crumbs, onions, salt and pepper. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
2. For two servings, take 1 ½ cups of mixture and put it in a quart size freezer bag and smash it flat.
1. Meatballs with Gravy:
1 package of Mix, thawed
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted.
Hot cooked noodles
Shape Mix into meatballs. In a saucepan, combine the water, bouillon and soup. Bring to a boil until the bouillon is dissolved. Add the meatballs. Reduce heat and cook until meatballs are done. Serve with noodles.
2. Beef-Stuffed Shells:
Jumbo pasta shells
1 jar (large or small according to amount of Mix you use) spaghetti sauce, divided
1 package of Mix, thawed
Shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
Cook pasta shells. Spread some of the spaghetti sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Fill shells with Mix and place in the dish. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce. Cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle with cheese. Bake 10 mins longer.
