Hanger Steak with Shallots

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 4 teasp. Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 lbs. hanger steak
- 5 med. shallots halved or quartered
- coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Whisk together 1/4 cup olive oil, vinegar, garlic, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in large glass dish.
Let steak marinate in sauce turning once for 20 mins.
Heat 2 Tbsp. oil in skillet. Add shallots and cook for mins., until golden.
Simmer shallots adding 1/4 cup water to keep shallots from sticking. Transfer shallots to a plate.
Wipe out skillet and heat 2 Tbsp. oil over med. high heat.
Remove steak from marinade and pat dry. Cook steak turning once. about 10 mins on each side or until meat thermometer reads 140 degrees.
In same pan reheat shallots and serve thinly sliced steak.
