Ingredients
- 1/2 bushel tomatoes
- parsley
- 25 whole cloves
- 7 onions
- 14 stalks celery chopped
- 3 cups of sugar
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups flour

Preparation
Step 1
Cook for 1 hour then put through food mill, the tomatoes, parsley, 25 whole cloves
Then Add:
7 onions, 14 stalks celery, Boil for 1/2 hour
Take sugar, salt, red pepper, black pepper, and add to mixture.
Make a smooth paste with water and the flour, and add to mixture and cook for another 20-25 minutes, until its thickened.
Makes 22 pints.
Use with equal amount of milk.
