Ingredients
- Cream Gravy:
- 2 lb 8 oz bread
- 1 1/2 quart milk
- 3 lb ground beef
- 2 lb 8 oz ground veal
- 2 lb 8 oz ground pork
- 1 lb 4 oz Potato, raw (grated)
- 12 oz onion (minced)
- 3 Tbs salt
- 2 tsp pepper
- 6 oz meat drippings
- 6 oz flour
- 3 Quarts Milk
- 2 tsp salt
- 3/4 tsp pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Soak bread in milk one hour. Add remaining ingredients. Mix to blend but do not over mix. Dip with ladle. Shape into balls. Place in baking dish. Brown in hot oven (400 degrees). Transfer drippings. Pour over meat balls. Bake. Note: Beef amy be substituted for veal and pork.
