Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

• 2/3 cup shortening (1 1/3)
• 2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened (1 1/3)
• 1 cup granulated sugar (2 cups)
• 1 cup brown sugar (packed) (2 cups)
• 2 eggs ( 4 eggs)
• 2 teaspoons vanilla (4 tsp.)
• 3 cups Cold Medal flour (6 cups)
• 1 teaspoon soda ( 2 tsp.)
• 1 teaspoon salt ( 2 tsp.)
• 1 cup chopped nuts ( 2 cups)
• 2 packages (6 ounces each) (4 pkg.)
• semisweet chocolate
• pieces

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375° Mix thcroughly shortening, butter, sugars eggs and vanilla. Blend in remaining ingredients. (For a softer, rounder cookie blend in 1/3 cup flour
Drop by rounded teaspoons and bake 8-10 minutes
