FUDGE FROSTING

Ingredients

  • 1 box confectioners sugar (about 4-3/4 cups)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa (dry)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup boiling water
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine sugar, cocoa and salt. Add water and butter, blend. Add vanilla. Mix until thick enough to frost cake. Frosts top and sides of two 8 or 9 inch layer cakes.
