Seven Minute Icing

This was a recipe from Aunt Mary. Original re-copied in January, 1954

Ingredients

  • Whites of 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar

Preparation

Step 1

Put ingredikents in top of double boiler. Beat with mixer until peaks form and icing is fluffy. Add 1 tsp vanilla.

This is a time intensive recipe - can take 15-18 minutes. Need to keep beating
