Squash-Baked Winter

Ingredients

  • 1 acorn or butternut squash
  • 2 Tbsp margarine or butter
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat over to 350, grease a baking sheet and a baking dish.

Halve the squash lengthwise, spoon out seeds and place cut side down on the baking sheet. Bake squash until tender, about 45 minutes.

Remove squash from oven and transfer the squash to the baking dish, cut sides up.

Melt butter and stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon evenly over the squash. Bake another 15 minutes.
