Homemade summer sausage made from hamburger, or vension burger

Ingredients

  • 5# Hamburger (not lean)
  • 5 rounded teaspoons of Mortons tender quick salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons mustard seed
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons course black pepper
  • 212 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoke salt hickory

Preparation

Step 1

Mix well, cover, refigerate. Take out once a day, mix well for 3 days. The fourth day form in rolls and lay on rack in broiler pan and bake for 8 hours at 175 degrees.
