One Pan Pasta

So easy and so surprisingly good--great for vacation cottage/cabin/boat (small kitchen) cooking!

Ingredients

  • Depending on size of skillet, 2/3 to one full small box of wheat or multi-grain pasta
  • One med or large onion, sliced vertically
  • 3-5 cloves fresh garlic, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves, sea salt, red pepper flakes, ground black pepper to taste
  • A "glug" of olive oil
  • Water

Preparation

Step 1

Place the pasta, onion, garlic, herbs/seasonings in skillet. Add water to almost cover and add olive oil.

Cook everything together until water boils away. Sort of makes its own sauce as it cooks! Stir and serve.

**I add 5-8 small balls of fresh mozzarella during the last few minutes of cooking--extra delicious--but also good as is with grated parmesan.
