Ingredients

  • 12 eggs, separated
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 quarts milk
  • 2 pints whipping cream
  • 1/5 whiskey (25 ounces)
  • 2 cups white rum

Preparation

Step 1

Beat yolks and add half of sugar slowly. Very slowly add rum and whiskey. Chill for 45 minutes.

Whip cream. Whip egg whites and add remaining sugar to egg whites. Slowly fold into chilled mixture the milk, whipped cream and egg whites.

Cover and refrigerate 2 or 3 days, stirring once a day.
