Ingredients
- ¾ cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate, cut into pieces, or 1 box rosebuds

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar until smooth, add the egg and vanilla and beat until blended. Combine the dry ingredients and add the dry mixture to the egg mix. Stir in chocolate. Bake cookies until golden brown at the edges.
For a crispier cookie replace the baking soda with baking powder.
