Ingredients
- Directions:
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 heaping tablespoons flour
- 1 heaping tablespoon cornmeal
- 1 stick butter, melted
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 (12-inch) pie shell, unbaked
- Combine sugar, flour, and cornmeal; mix well.
- Add butter and stir well.
- Add beaten eggs, mixing well.
- Add buttermilk and vanilla; blend thoroughly.
- Pour mixture into pie shell and bake at 425 F. for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 325 F. and bake 30 more minutes.
- When pie begins to brown, cover with a sheet of aluminum foil to prevent deep browning or burning
