Spicy Pepper Beef Steak

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs beef steak, sirloin tip or inside round
  • 2 med green peppers
  • 1 large red pepper
  • 1 large spanish onions
  • 2 small ginger roots
  • 2 tbsp red wine
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 6 green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp asian chili sauce ( President's choice)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch and water
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp veg oil
  • 1 tsp each salt & pepper
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp Knorr chicken pwd

Preparation

Step 1

Slice beef 1/8 thick against the grain. Soak beef in 1/2 tsp baking soda in 1 cup water till you can pierce with 2 fingers together. 30 minutes or more, when tenderized , rinse well, under cold water.
Marinade beef with 2 tbsp of oil, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 2 tbsp red wine, garlic, chopped ginger and soya sauce.
Mix well with 2 tbsp of flour. Blanche veges in boiling water with baking soda for seconds, rinse well.
Heat wok with oil, stir fry beef for a minute , then add veges, chili sauce, salt & Pepper, cornstarch and water mixture.
