Ingredients
- 2 lb lean ground beef
- 2 medium onion, chopped (1 cup)
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 2 jars pizza sauce
- 1 pkg sliced pepperoni, chopped (3.5 oz)
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 18 sandwich buns, split
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Preparation
Step 1
In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain.
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Spoon beef mixture into slow cooker. Add bell pepper, pizza sauce, pepperoni, basil and oregano.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.
To assemble sandwiches - spoon about 1/3 cup beef mixture onto bottom halves of buns. Top each with 2 tbsp cheese. Cover with top halves of buns.
