Hamburger Pot Pie

One of my favorites as a child. My grandma would make it every once in awhile for dinner. I loved it!

Ingredients
- Crust:
- 2 cups siftedregular flour
- 3/4 cup Crisco
- 1 tsp onion salt
- 1/4 cup cold water
- Filling:
- 1 TBSP Crisco
- 1 pound of lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 can (16 oz) green beans (drained)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 TBSP sugar
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp oregano
- 1 can (10 oz) tomato soup
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees (for metal pan 425 degrees).
Crusts:
Cut Crisco into flour until uniform. Miz the onion salt and water together and sprinkle on the flour mixture. Toss lightly with a fork. Divide dough into 2 pieces. Roll out for 2 pie crusts.
Filling:
Brown beef and onion in the Crisco. Stir in the green beans, soup, and the spices and seasonings. Pour into the pastry. put the other pastry on top and pinch the edges. Make a few or one bigger slit in the center of the top pie crust.
Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes
