Ingredients
- 6 oz. dried tart cherries or dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup Calvados
- 6 cups peeled, cored, and sliced apples - Granny Smith or McIntosh
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened and cut into bits
- Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350º degrees. Combine dried cherries or cranberries with Calvados and set aside for at least 10 minutes.
Mix marinated fruit and Calvados with the apples and place evenly in a deep 7” x 9” greased baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients and mix with your hands until mixture is the texture of rough meal. Spread evenly over the apples, smoothing with your hand. Bake for about 35 minutes or until the top begins to turn color and the mixture is bubbling. Serve with vanilla flavored whipped cream or ice cream.
