Palak Pakoda

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1/2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp hot oil
  • 2-3 finely chopped green chilies
  • Water as required
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix all the above ingredients adding salt as required & 1 tbsp hot oil.

2. Add very little water & mix batter should just coat palak leaves.

3. Heat oil in a deep frying or heavy bottomed vessel.

4. Once oil is hot, reduce flame to medium, drop a little mixture of batter
to form fritters.

5. Deep fry pakodas to a golden brown color.

6. Serve palak pakoda hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.
