Creamy Coleslaw

Serves: 8 Active: 5 min/Total: 5 min (plus at least 1 hr chilling)

This slaw works well as a side with Texas, Memphis or Kansas City barbecue. The shredded cabbage isn't as finely grated as in the Carolinas. Heck, rough-chop it if you want.

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 2 Tbsp sugar
• 1 Tbsp cider vinegar
• 1 tsp each salt and pepper, or to taste
• 5 cups shredded cabbage (about 1 lb)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Put all ingredients except cabbage in a medium bowl Whisk until smooth.

2. Add cabbage; toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, or up to 1 day.
