Cheddar-Chive Beer Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbs freshly chopped chives
  • ¾ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • One 12oz. bottle of good beer
  • ¼ cup butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Stir together first 5 ingredients and pour into a lightly greased 9×5″ loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes. Pour melted butter over the top and bake an additional 10 minutes.
