Ingredients
- 3 lbs apples
- 2 tbs lemon juice
- 1/2 c sugar utter
- 1 c whipping cream(for filling)
- 2 tbs flour (for filling)
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 c flour (for topping)
- 1 stick butter

Step 1
Prepare a pie crust but do not bake.
Pare, quarter and core apples. Cut into bite size pieces. Place in large bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice.
Mix 1/2 c sugar, 2 tbs flour and nutmeg in cup. sprinkle over apples, tossing to coat well. Spoon into prepared shell.
Combine 1/2 c sugar and 1/2 c flour in small bowl. cut in butter until crumbly. sprinkle over apples. Cover pie loosely w/foil. Place on large cookie sheet.
bake at 425 for 45 minutes. Drizzle 1/2 c cream over bake 15 minutes longer or until top is golden. Remove from oven and place on wire rack. Drizzle remaining 1/2 c cream over. Cool 1 hour or until set.
Serve plain or w/cheese curls.
