Pecan Cream Cheese Pie

This is a recipe from Nancy Houseworth. She was married to Bryan Houseworth, Uncle Clayton and Aunt Dema's son. Uncle Clayton was mom's brother.

Ingredients
- 2 3 o, pkgs. Cream cheese
- ½ C. Granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- ½ tsp. Salt
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 C. Light corn syrup
- 2 Tbs. Sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 9 inch unbaked pie crust
- 1 ½ Cups chopped pecans
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a small bowl beet cream cheese (softened at room temperature) sugar, egg, vanilla and salt till smooth.
Next, beat 3 eggs slightly. Add corn syrup, sugar, vanilla. Beat gently until blended. Spread cream cheese mixture in pie shell, sprinkle w pecans. Gently pour syrup mixture over pecans
Bake at 375 until center is firm to the touch - about one hour.
