Ingredients

  • 2 c pecans chopped

  • 1 1/4 c butter

  • 3 c flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 c sugar

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 c milk

  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 Grease/Flour 3 8" or 9" pans Toast pecans in 1/4 c butter for 25-30 minutes Stir frequently Sift dry ingredients Cream 1 c butter Add sugar, blend well Add eggs - beat well after each Add dry ingredients alternately with milk Stir in vanilla and 1 1/3 cup pecans Pour into pans and bake 25-30 minutes.
