Ingredients
- 3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
- 3/4 cup self-rising flour*
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2/3 cup milk
- 10 small wooden sticks
- 10 hot dogs
- oil for deep frying
- * as a substitute for self-rising flour - place 2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt in a measuring cup and add enough flour to equal 3/4 cup.

Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, combine cornmeal, flour and egg; mix well. Stir in milk to make a thick batter; let stand 5 minutes. Insert sticks into hot dogs; dip in batter. Heat oil to 375. Fry corn dogs until golden brown, abotu 5-6 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
